In Long Beach, Marsh’s Free Museum’s
collection of the bizarre, curious, and just plain
weird (think shrunken heads, a self-playing
violin-and-piano duet, and an enormous
amount of taxidermy) will enthrall even the
toughest young critics.

Oregon and Washington,Coasts
hy Go?
For the enviable location. Set between the roaring Pacific to the west and the majestic Cascade Mountains
to the east, the Oregon and Washington coasts present a rugged natural beauty and numerous ways to get out and
enjoy it. Even in the urban areas of Portland, Seattle, and Vancouver, Mother Nature is revered and eco-consciousness
rules. But that’s not to say that visitors here will be roughing it. You’ll find a deep appreciation for good food (locally pro-
duced, by preference) and plenty of craft beer and wine.

“Head to Cannon Beach, Oregon … and eat at Mo’s. Classic coastal place with fab seafood. Don’t be surprised by
the humble looks ... it’s great.”
