REQUEST FIRST
Want the security of retaining your home resort week until you
receive an exchange confirmation? Use Request First when your
home resort is where you would like to go if your exchange
choices are unavailable.
You can place a vacation request and travel from two years
before the week you offer in exchange up until the dates of that
week.
Once you have a confirmed exchange, you will relinquish your
week to Interval, and you can pack your bags.
If you’re a member at a points-based resort ...
Use Request First. Simply place a request and keep your points
until Interval confirms that you have enough to make the exchange
that you have chosen. Some points-based members will be able to
exchange online; others will have to contact the resort from which
they purchased.
Placing an exchange request
Whether you own a week and are using Deposit First or Request
First, or if you’re a member at a points-based resort using Request
First, when you place an exchange request, be sure to select a
minimum of:
Three different resorts and one time period
One resort and three time periods or
Two resorts and two time periods
Be flexible — list several options to increase your exchange
opportunities. If one of your selections becomes available, you will
be confirmed immediately.
And to further enhance your exchange opportunities, request
the smallest-sized unit that will accommodate the number of
people in your traveling party. You can tell how many people a unit
accommodates by referring to the unit type and occupancy
symbol in this

unit that sleeps six

You cannot request a unit that accommodates more people
than the one you’re giving up, but you will improve your exchange
opportunities by accepting a smaller unit.
