LOVE CRUISING ON NORWEGIAN? NORWEGIAN
LOVES ITS LOYAL GUESTS RIGHT BACK!
Norwegian Cruise Line has unveiled exciting
enhancements to all tier levels of their Latitude Rewards
loyalty program. Now all Latitudes Rewards guests
can toast their journey with a complimentary bottle of
sparkling wine. Members at the silver level or above can
take advantage of discounts on shore excursions, while
free internet minutes, bottled water, and much more are
available to members at the Gold level or higher.
Two new elite tiers will reward the line’s most
frequent cruisers with never-before-offered benefits,
including dinner with the ships’ officers and — at the
highest level — a complimentary seven-day cruise.
A DISTINCTLY NEW CELEBRITY
As part of its ongoing Celebrity Distinction program, this
trendsetting cruise line is making some changes to its already-
impressive onboard dining options. Taking over for the Bistro
on Five will be the all-new Sushi on Five, offering hand-rolled
favorites along with Japanese beer and sake pairings. The Tuscan
Grille, which hosts guests on Solstice- and Millennium-class
vessels, is rolling out a new menu curated by Celebrity Cruises’
Michelin-rated head chef, Cornelius Gallagher. The fleetwide Dine
Aware program, an industry first, will focus on food allergies and
intolerances, allowing guests to dine with confidence on board
every ship. There’s also a new menu and amenity upgrades for
Concierge-class cruisers, more locally sourced products and
regional delicacies, such as king crab on Alaskan sailings, and
chef-led market tours in more than 40 global destinations.
Disney’s
Frozen
may be coming to Broadway in 2018, but right now you can catch an exclusive theatrical
production aboard the
DisneyWonder
on sailings out of Galveston,Texas. Fantastic special effects marrying
traditional set pieces with cutting-edge video technology, along with a cast of live performers and
puppeteers, will showcase Anna, Elsa, and Olaf like they’ve never been seen or heard before. Sing along to
the film’s hit songs, and get ready to be surprised by new additions. When it’s time to “Let It Go,” get ready
for a show-stopping spectacle complete with falling snow!
The megaship that started a movement, Royal Caribbean’s
Oasis of the Seas
, is now sailing fromPort Canaveral, Florida,
just 50 miles east of Orlando. This fan favorite, with its 25
dining options, multiple pools, zip line, rock-climbing walls,
ice-skating rink, and neighborhoods, such as Central Park
and The Boardwalk, will sail alternating seven-night eastern
and western Caribbean itineraries. How about a few days at
the theme parks and a week lounging in the tropical sun?
We can’t think of a better vacation!

BEDOUIN CAMP, OMAN
LAND CRUISE
If the only thing keeping you from cruising is the inability to immerse
yourself at port, then you’re out of excuses. Azamara Club Cruises has
introduced two- and three-day extended land excursions on a selection of
itineraries crossing international waters. Through the Azamara Overnight
Adventures program, cruisers can experience an authentic Bedouin camp
in Oman; explore the Holy Land with visits to Nazareth, the Sea of Galilee,
and Jerusalem; discover Myanmar’s mysterious ancient Buddhist city of
Bagan; and savor the sights, sounds, and tastes of Florence and Venice,
Italy. After your extended tour is over, your group will rendezvous with the
ship at the next port of call. Simple. And oh-so intriguing.

HARVEST CAYE
NCL IN BELIZE
Private cruise-line islands are popular stops on many eastern
Caribbean itineraries, but they have been relatively absent
from sailings to the western Caribbean. Not anymore!
Norwegian Cruise Line’s Harvest Caye, off the Belize coast,
hosted its first guests in fall 2016, and the island promises
to be a welcome addition to the line’s future sailings. Sporting
the country’s first cruise-ship pier (read: no tendering),
Harvest Caye offers a stunning 7-acre, white-sand beach;
luxury beach villas; a massive 15,000 square-foot pool
with canopied cabanas; lush tropical foliage; and a host
of activities, shopping, and dining options. What’s more,
the dedicated marina provides an easy access point for
excursions to the mainland, so you can have your downtime
and Mayan-ruins tour, too!
