Divi is committed to putting a significant portion of its revenue
back into its eight properties, says Marco Galaverna, president and
chief operating officer of Divi Hotels Marketing, Inc., the marketing
and management consultant for Divi Resorts Group. “It’s the right
thing to do—we want our long-time loyal owners, members, and
guests to continually be surprised and pleased by our properties
when they return every year to vacation with us,” says Galaverna.
“It’s an investment in the future of our resorts, our company, and the
islands we call home.”
A Points Play
Divi Resorts was founded in the 1970s as a hotel company. It entered
the vacation ownership industry in the 1980s, selling a 40-year, right-
to-use product. Its collection of eight premium resorts spans five
Caribbean islands: Aruba, Barbados, Bonaire, St. Maarten, and St.
Croix. Seeking to meet a growing demand for greater flexibility, Divi
Vacation Club introduced points-based membership in January 2015.
Divi Resorts sets its properties apart with exceptional service,
popular amenities, and large, family-friendly suites at affordable price
points, Galaverna says, along with its decades of experience operat-
ing solely in the region. “That gives us an unparalleled level of insider
island knowledge that we share with our guests, and a peerless grasp
of the art of authentic Caribbean hospitality.”
Recent Renovations
True to its word, Divi has embarked on numerous enhancement projects
at the resorts in recent years. Among these revamps: the addition of a
new pier, as well as renovations to units at Divi Little Bay Beach Resort
on St. Maarten; upgrades to the infinity pool area and villa renovations at
Divi Village Golf & Beach Resort and the addition of a luxury spa at Divi
Aruba Phoenix Beach Resort, both on Aruba; and comprehensive resort
renovations at the Divi Flamingo Beach Resort & Casino on Bonaire, as
well as Divi Dutch Village Beach Resort on Aruba.
Completed in June 2016 after eight weeks of work, the new 100-foot-
long (30 meters) pier at Divi Little Bay Beach Resort now offers guests
access to more water sports rentals, and adventure tours and sailing trips
around the island right from the resort. “We’re very happy with how the
dock has enhanced our guest amenities,” Galaverna says.
On Aruba, Divi Village Golf & Beach Resort’s infinity pool area—the
centerpiece of this resort—was refurbished in October 2016. The work
encompassed resurfacing the pool, painting the pool slide, revitalizing
the swim-up pool bar, and replacing tiling and lighting. “We’re constantly
looking to ensure our guests are blown away by their beautiful surround-
ings when they’re on vacation,” Galaverna says.

For
Divi ResortsGroup
, with its all-Caribbean portfolio and
more than 40 years of experience in the region, its reputation
as “the vacation expert of the Caribbean” is clearly justified.
Nevertheless, Divi is by no means resting on its laurels: An
extensive lineup of major resort renovations is underway. On
top of that, an all-inclusive option for owners and guests and
the recent launch of a tiered loyalty program with partner
Divi Vacation Club are already yielding impressive returns.
