ANNETTE AND DAN PIMM
CENTRAL ITALY
In celebration of their 25th wedding anniversary, longtime Interval members
Annette and Dan Pimm found the perfect setting in the medieval Italian village
of Soriano nel Cimino. With two weeks to explore at their leisure, Annette and
Dan made the most of Soriano’s location in Central Italy, using it as their home
base from which they visited Rome, Vatican City, Civitavecchia, Orte, Viterbo,
Florence, Assisi, Perugia, and Tuscany. “The food, the wine, the countrysides,
the towns and cities steeped in rich history were all breathtaking,” Dan says.
And “the staff at [our resort in Soriano nel Cimino] made us feel like the most
important people in the world.” The most memorable event of their vacation
was on the day of their 25th anniversary, Dan says, when the pair renewed their
vows in the same Collodi, Italy, church his great-grandfather was baptized in.
They had such a fantastic trip, he says, they’re already planning a return trip.

Exploring the Rockies
MARK AND KAREN THULI
BRECKENRIDGE, COLORADO
With three busy adult children in three different time zones — two sons in
the U.S. Air Force and a daughter at the U.S. Air Force Academy — the Thuli
family jumped at the chance to vacation together in the fresh mountain air.
“Family time has always been priceless for our family,” say Mark and Karen
Thuli. “When we saw a break in our daughter’s schedule, we immediately
went to Interval International and booked an exchange to Breckenridge,
Colorado.” The couple’s two sons and their wives made plans to join them
as well, and the group of seven was off. The family relished taking in Rocky
Mountain views on hikes, riding mountain bikes, relaxing at the resort’s pool,
and making their favorite meals in their unit’s well-equipped kitchen. “We
always enjoy the opportunity to get away together and discover new
places,” Mark and Karen say. “Thank you for helping us explore this won-
derful country!”
