Ages-Old Wonders

CALVIN G. LYONS

MOUGINS, FRANCE

Looking to maximize their time in Europe, Calvin and Helen Lyons capped off a

cruise on the Rhône River with an Interval exchange to the French Riviera village

of Mougins. Situated between Grasse and Cannes, Mougins proved a delightful

spot to explore. “The narrow, winding streets in Old Mougins are home to artists,

jewelry stores, clothing boutiques, restaurants, and an excellent hotel,” Calvin

says. “The village architecture has not changed in centuries.” The couple enjoyed

viewing images of Picasso (who spent his final days in Mougins) at the local pho-

tography museum, perusing art galleries and antique stores, and taking in the

view from the church tower of Église St. Jacques-le-Majeur, which stretched all

the way to the Bay of Cannes. “In short, our river cruise was great, as we

expected, but our exchange to Le Club Mougins was a fantastic added week

only made possible by Interval International.”

CHUCK AND JENNIFER HENRICH

ST. THOMAS, U.S. VIRGIN ISLANDS

Every year, Chuck and Jennifer Henrich place an exchange request

for the first week of April, a highly demanded travel time. “To our

delight, Interval came through,” Chuck says. “But this time, I actually

did a couple fist pumps when we read the exchange notification

email because we landed the Marriott’s Frenchman’s Cove in St.

Thomas.” To plan their trip, the Henrichs browsed postings on Interval’s

Community forum for fellow members’ recommendations. Joined by

their two best friends, the four explored St. Thomas in their rental

car, hopping over to the beaches of St. John one day via car ferry.

When they weren’t enjoying the amenities at their resort, the group

spent time strolling the narrow alleys, unique stores, and open-air

market in Charlotte Amalie. “We even got to sit outside and eat on

an alley patio,” Chuck says, “admiring the [old] stone walls.”

Our cozy condo made it easy to have the time of

our lives traveling a unique part of the world.”
