For the dramatic, sweeping landscapes. While most of Victoria’s inhabitants reside in cosmopolitan Melbourne,
you’ll soon know what they know: Venturing out of the city is an absolute must. Rain forests, mountain ranges, and
Outback desert for bushwalking and mountain biking can all be found here. And there are more than 1,000 miles (1,609
kilometers) of rugged coastline, with off-the-beaten-track beaches, such as Sunnymead, along the Great Ocean Road.
To the west, the state of South Australia is just as diverse — from the arts scene and fine-dining culture of sophisticated
Adelaide, to the award-winning vintages of the Barossa Valley and 17 other well-established wine regions, to the wildlife
and sheltered bays of Kangaroo Island.
